Image generators

There are so many different image generators available, it was difficult to know where to start.

Whilst many were interesting to play with, they were often rather limited in their use. For instance, the bookend (see image on right) I edited didn't give me a great deal of options for editing it (or maybe I just didn't know what I was doing!).

I did like some of the generators that allowed manipulation of personal images like Flickr Toys. I also quite liked playing with some of the applications that enabled you to create buttons and designs for websites (see the graphics and image generators section of this site http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2006/11/09/online-generators/).
